Hello, You are bidding on a semi truck tractor that was in an accident. It starts and runs correctly. The right mirror and door glass are both broken. The inside looks as though a herd of swine were feeding on a hillside nearby and came running through the cab on the way to jump into the ocean. The truck does have nearly one million miles on it and it has been in an accident. It will need repairs done to it. A local tire service said that the right front tire will need replaced before you start hauling; the rear tires are all good with one tire nearing the end of its life and one tire being a brand new Michelin. The salvage title is on the way to me from the insurance company. That usually takes a month. You can buy the truck now and take it home now. I do feel that you can drive it home (provided you get a tag and insurance). I will send the title as soon as it arrives here. The title should be here by June 10th. Volvo Penta MD17C Engine 35HP w/MSB TRANS. Complete This motor and transmission were in perfect working condition when removed from the water for a complete refit. Just before going back into the water the Owner decided to re-power with a larger motor. When last run it did not show any problems such as smoking etc., it started right up and ran smoothly. The transmission went into gear easily and both forward and reverse functions as supposed to. The motors 55 amp alternator and starter were completely rebuilt. A mount was fabricated for a large alternator shown in the last picture. NOTE: THIS LARGE ALTERNATOR DOES NOT COME WITH THE MOTOR. A new high rise exhaust was custom fabricated and is sold with the engine. All new belts, filter, and dual belts for a larger alternator are included along with additional filters, impellars,etc.. Complete Workshop Manual also included. A fresh water cooling system was used with this engine and the Heat Exchanger is being sold separately from the engine. It is being sold on a second auction at the same time the engine is being sold so if you would like the pair check it out. The heat exchanger is a Mercruiser 165hp adapted for use with the 17C and has been completely overhauled, cleaned and new zincs and gaskets installed. CHECK SECOND AUCTION – NOT SOLD WITH ENGINE! Many parts from a 11C are interchangable with a 17C, including the heads. This is a good clean take out and should provide good use to the buyer. If parted out would run well over $10,000.00.
